Book Report: The Gate House

The Gate House, by Nelson DeMille is the sequel to The Gold Coast, written 10 years earlier. At the end of The Gold Coast the main character sails off into the sunset after his wife has an affair with a Mafia Don and things go downhill from there. The story picks up when he returns to the scene a decade later.

This is another huge book--600++ pages. It's filled with DeMille's trademark humor and sarcasm. I laughed out loud at some of his comments to and about his wicked in-laws. Sex, money, Mafia, murder, intrigue...what's not to love?

An easy read--but read The Gold Coast first.
